Adele's father abandonned her when she was 2. Her mother was only 18 when she was born and had to raise her on her own. They lived in government-subsidized housing and moved around a lot. adele attended over 10 diffrent schools. She never dreamt of being famous. After graduating from school she wanted to help other artists achive their dreams intead of working on her own. One day a friend of hers uploaded a 3 track demo pf her singing on Myspace. The demo was found two years later by a reacording lebel. She then recorded her first album 19 which sold more than 10 million copies. During that time Adele got involved in a romantic realationship with a man 10 years older than her. Their realationship was intense and he had a major impact on her life. He made me an adult. 18months later he ended the realationship and broke her heart.She found out shortly after that he had gotten engaged. She used her pain to write her greatest hit, "Someone Like You" In 2011 Adele had to stop singing and udergo vocal chords surgery. She came back in 2012 stronger than ever, giving her first performance at the Grammy Awards. She won 6 awards that night. Adele has stage freight gets anxiety attacks and even vomits when she has to face her fears. Despite constant pressure from the media to lose weight Adele refuses to conform to any stereotypical look. At 29, she's already: won over 12 Grammys, Sold 100 million records, been twice named one of Time's most influentioal people in the world. " I think I remind everyone of themselves. Not saying everyone is my size, but it's relatable because I'm not perfect, and i think a lot of people are portayed as perfect, unreachable and untouchable."
